But Dijilele S is a digital musical instrument, not simply a traditional acoustic ukulele with electronics added to it.

Because the sound is generated digitally, learners can make music without dealing with some of the physical and maintenance challenges associated with traditional string instruments. Dijilele can also connect with MIDI-compatible digital music tools when learners want to explore beyond its standalone sounds.

When played as standalone instruments, both Dijilele S and Dijilele M have no noticeable latency.

When connected wirelessly to a DAW via Bluetooth, there may be a small amount of latency. In our experience, it has been minimal enough that most users are comfortable playing this way (<10 ms).
